Embedding pictures in posts

Unread post by admin » Sun May 30, 2010 1:22 am

Images can be embedded in your postings the following way:
  • ensure your pictures are stored somewhere on the Internet (you can not link to images stored on your PC or stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password protected sites etc.). Free and easy-to-use 'hosting services' are available for this purpose, like http://picasaweb.google.com , http://www.tinypic.com , http://www.flickr.com or http://www.photobucket.com . Upload your desired pictures to one of these picture hosters and then copy the link to the image.
  • to display the image, use the BBCode [img] tag. While writing your post, click the IMG button above the editor window and put the link to your image between the brackets.
  • preview your posting to check if everything is fine and then submit it! ;)
